Tiny Robot Workshop — Helper Robot (Free Sampler)

Meet the Helper Robot: a friendly, big-headed workshop bot with glowing cyan eyes, ivory armour and one bright orange badge. It’s sized for cozy top-down games, workshop sims and robot adventures.

This free sampler sets the style for the Tiny Robot Workshop collection.

What’s included

• 4 directions: south, west, east and north.
• Idle: 4 frames per direction, with a head settle, a springy antenna and a blink.
• Walk: 6 frames per direction, animated in place.
• 40 animation frames in total.
• Sprite sheets—idle, walk and combined—and 40 individual PNG frames.
• Separate shadow sheets aligned with the character sheets.
• JSON metadata with frame rectangles, durations and the ground anchor.
• A GIMP Palette (.gpl) file.

Technical specs

• Frame size: 48 × 48 px, transparent background, no trimming.
• Robot height: approximately 36 px.
• Ground anchor: (24, 44) in every frame.
• Palette: 14 character colours, crisp pixels, no anti-aliasing.
• Formats: PNG, JSON and GPL palette. Aseprite source files are not included.
• Engine testing: tested in Godot 4.7.2. The sheets can also be imported into other engines that support grid-based sprite sheets.

Use the robot in games, apps, videos and streams, free or commercial, and modify it as you like. Credit is optional but appreciated.
